Visions of Mana: TLDR Battle card Review

Visions of Mana is a step forward for the franchise, but JRPGs have taken many more steps than just that one since the last main entry. The colorful visuals stun at first glance, teasing the prettiest tale of ritual sacrifice you've ever seen, but the story walks in the shadows of giants like FFX with no chance of surpassing them. Combat is fun when it clicks and some characters are charmers, but shallow side quests & exploration leave it in the enjoyable but middling tier of JRPG popcorn.
